The client wanted two different rhythms of living to coexist within the same space, allowing it to respond to a more diverse and dynamic way of use. In everyday life, the space remains simple and understated, with storage and functions quietly receding into the background.

When needed, the doors open to reveal the bar, display, lighting and work surface, shifting the space into a more active mode.

By concealing these activities until they are required, the space can remain calm at one moment and become active at the next- ultimately allowing the way it is used to shape its character.
